By removing the “pwrsel” jumper on MaxM and shorting all three “pwrsel” pins together with a scrap piece of wire, a MaxM can be made to power a FreeM. The MaxM must then be powered by an external power source via its 2.1mm barrel connector.
The FreeM then in turn controls the MaxM, making for an IR-remote controlled MaxM.
